Are you preparing for the PTE exam and planning to score high on your first attempt? Well! Before directly taking the PTE exam, you must understand the exam format, practice on mock sample tests and much more.
Preparing for an exam is not always as easy as it seems; sometimes some test-takers can take up to 2-3 months to practice, and some take 1-2 weeks; it is all about the dedication of the test-taker. Let us understand what PTE is and its module.
The Pearson Test of English (PTE) is an English language proficiency test taken by aspirants planning to study in an English-speaking nation. Many countries accept the test results of PTE in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, etc. There are 3 modules: Writing and Speaking, Listening and Reading. To practice on these modules, you may take PTE coaching, or you can also self-study.
Unlike other English proficiency tests, the PTE is a 2-hour computer-based exam reviewed by Artificial Intelligence (AI); you will receive the test results within 5 days after taking the exam.
The PTE exam has 20 questions divided according to the modules.
Speaking and Writing (54-67 minutes) — It has 7 question types and tests your speaking and writing skills.
Listening (30-43 minutes) — It contains 8 question types and checks your listening skills via video and audio clips.
Reading (29-30 minutes) — It has 5 question types and tests your reading ability.
